Begin With a Free Discovery Call
The first step is a free 20-minute Zoom call with Josh. During the call, you can:
- Describe your dog and current concerns
- Explain what you would like daily life to look like
- Ask questions about training
- Learn about Pacific North Woof's positive-reinforcement approach
- Discuss whether the service is a good fit
- Review the likely next steps
Your Initial Consultation
Consultation price: $200
Before beginning a training package, clients complete a 90-minute consultation in their home. During the consultation, Josh will:
- Learn more about your dog
- Observe relevant behavior and routines
- Discuss your priorities
- Identify practical starting points
- Begin developing an individualized training plan
- Discuss options for continued support
Afterward, you will receive a written follow-up outlining the initial game plan and recommendations. The consultation is designed to provide useful direction even before a longer package begins.
Day Training
Day Training is a hands-on option for clients who want their dog to receive focused practice with a professional trainer during the week.
Packages require a minimum three-week commitment.
Each week includes:
- Three trainer-and-dog sessions
- One transfer session with the client
Sessions may take place:
- In the client's home
- Around the client's neighborhood
- In appropriate community settings
- On selected field trips based on the dog's goals
During the weekly transfer session, Josh will:
- Explain what the dog has been practicing
- Demonstrate the skills
- Coach the client through the process
- Answer questions
- Provide clear next steps for maintaining progress at home
Private Coaching Packages
Private Coaching is designed for clients who want to work directly with Josh during each training session.
Sessions take place in the client's home and are tailored to the dog, household, schedule, and training goals.
Coaching clients receive:
- Personalized in-home sessions
- Practical demonstrations
- Guided practice
- Homework after every session
- Email support between appointments
- Adjustments to the plan as training progresses
Package recommendations are made after the initial consultation.

Choose Day Training when you want Josh to provide more of the dog's hands-on practice while teaching you how to carry the skills forward.
Choose Private Coaching when you want to participate directly in each session and build your skills alongside your dog.
Some clients may benefit from continued support after an initial package. Josh will discuss the most appropriate option during the consultation.

Josh will learn about your goals and answer your questions. Suitable clients may book the initial consultation during the call or receive a booking link afterward.
Complete the Initial Consultation
Josh meets with you in your home for 90 minutes. The consultation costs $200 and is followed by a written game plan.
Begin Your Recommended Package
Choose Day Training or Private Coaching based on the consultation recommendations.
Practice and Build Progress
Your dog practices relevant skills, and you receive guidance for using those skills in everyday situations.
Continue When Helpful
After the first package, clients can continue with additional coaching or Day Training when more support would be beneficial.
Is Pacific North Woof the Right Fit?
Pacific North Woof supports many everyday training and behavior goals, including appropriate reactivity cases.
Pacific North Woof does not currently accept:
- Aggression cases
- Separation-anxiety cases
