    Josh Boutelle

    Meet Josh Boutelle

Josh Boutelle has spent 15 years helping dogs and their people navigate training with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.

His approach is grounded in positive reinforcement and tailored to the individual dog.

Rather than forcing every client through the same program, Josh considers the dog's behavior, environment, learning history, daily routines, and the goals that matter most to the household.

The result is a practical plan designed for real life—not just for the few minutes when a trainer is in the room.

Helping You Feel Capable, Not Dependent

Training should leave you feeling supported and better equipped to help your dog.

Josh's role is not simply to teach a dog a list of behaviors. It is to help clients understand what their dogs need, recognize progress, respond more confidently, and continue using their training skills after a package ends.

Clients receive clear next steps, realistic homework, and space to ask questions.

Training is collaborative, and the plan can be adjusted as the dog and household make progress.

    Positive Reinforcement With Real-Life Goals

Pacific North Woof uses rewards, thoughtful setup, and clear communication to help dogs learn.

    Training may include:

    • Teaching useful alternative behaviors
    • Breaking large goals into manageable steps
    • Adjusting the environment to support success
    • Practicing in gradually more realistic situations
    • Helping owners understand body language and behavior
    • Building skills without shame, intimidation, or unrealistic expectations

The goal is meaningful progress that improves daily life for both the dog and the people who care for them.

    Education and Experience

Josh brings 15 years of professional dog-training experience to Pacific North Woof.

His professional education includes certification as a:

    • Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer
    • Certified Behavior and Training Consultant through the Dog Training Internship Academy

These credentials reflect Josh's broader education and experience.

Pacific North Woof does not currently accept separation-anxiety or aggression cases.
